Sabre XXIII Weekend 9
The Sabre XXIII Weekend 9 is an exciting running and hiking event set in the scenic Howgill Fells. Participants will tackle a challenging 25.5 km route, which includes an elevation gain of 1500 meters, originally used by the 23 SAS for training. This event, now in its fourth year, features categories for loaded competitors, runners, and walkers, ensuring a diverse range of participants.
The route is fully waymarked, and while there are checkpoints, competitors are expected to be self-sufficient. Each participant will receive a finisher's patch and an end-of-race pint, making it a memorable experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
