Sabre XXIII Weekend 9

Sabre XXIII Weekend 9 takes place in the Howgill Fells, a 25.5 km Run/TAB/YOMP/Hike. The out-and-back route covers around 1500m of ascent and draws on the former 23 SAS final test route. Now in its fourth year, the event returns with a fully waymarked course; a GPX file is available for the technically minded.

Terrain mixes fell land, tracks and footpaths, with checkpoints manned by staff and self-sufficiency encouraged. Three categories: Load Bearing (with specified minimum weights), Runner/Clean Fatigue, and Walker/Unloaded. Prizes for top male/female in each category; finishers patch and post-race pint at the pub.
