Sabre XXIII Weekend 9
WEEKEND 9 is an exciting running and hiking event taking place in the Howgill Fells, featuring a challenging 25.5 km route with an elevation gain of 1500 meters. Originally used by the 23 SAS for training, this event offers participants the chance to experience a historic and demanding course. Competitors can choose from three categories: Load Bearing, Runner/Clean Fatigue, and Walker/Unloaded, each with specific requirements.
The event emphasizes self-sufficiency, with checkpoints for safety rather than supplies. Participants will receive a finisher's patch and an end-of-race pint, making it a memorable experience for all involved. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
