Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month 5K

The SAAPM 5K is an awareness run organized by military installations in the Pensacola area. The event takes place at NAS Pensacola, with the course starting and finishing near the Mustin Beach Club parking lot. This run is held in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month to promote awareness and support for survivors within the military community.

Participation is open to individuals who have authorized base access from participating installations. This includes service members, civilians, and family members. The event is an informal awareness run rather than an officially timed race. There is no official timekeeping or recorded race placements for the participants.

A visible timer is provided at the site for individuals who want to track their own personal finish times. Participants have the option to either run or walk the 5 km distance at their own pace. The event serves as a collective demonstration of commitment to respect and prevention across the various installations in the region.
