9th annual memorial run at Pompano Beach Pier
The event is a memorial run presented by the Naked Warrior Project and held at Pompano Beach Pier in Pompano Beach, Florida. It honors the life of a Navy SEAL who died in service on January 29, 2017. The race includes an in-person beach course and a virtual option.
The day includes registration, opening ceremonies, a main race and a separate kids run. There is a post-race gathering with a DJ, food and beverages available for purchase, and activities for children. Runners aged 21 and older receive one complimentary beer with registration.
Awards are planned for top overall and master finishers by gender, Clydesdale, first responder and essential business teams. Age-group awards will be presented for 12 and under, 13-14, 15-19 and five-year age groups up to 75 and over. All money raised will go to injured Navy SEALs and veterans or special operations foundations.
