About the race
The Running Scared event in St. George, Utah, offers in-person and virtual race options on 10/17/2026 at Confluence Park (2099 S Convention Center Dr). Races include standard 5K and 13K distances and a combined 18K Deadly Double that consists of completing the 5K, returning within 30 minutes, and then running the 13K for an 18K total.
All in-person participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. Those who complete the Deadly Double earn a Deadly Double finisher medal in addition to the race shirt. Virtual entrants can run where and when they choose, submit their time, and have race swag mailed to them.
Awards are planned for overall Top Three male and female finishers in both the 5K and 13K, and for Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters overall categories. Traditional five-year age groups for each distance will receive awards for the top three in each group. The Deadly Double has separate recognition for the Top Three male and female finishers who complete both races.
