Event overview
The Running of the Bulls 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Hampton Cove Greenway in Huntsville, Alabama. Registration opens March 1, 2026 at 12:01am CST. Proceeds from the event go to the Hampton Cove Middle School PTA. Early registration and family pricing are offered.
- 5K - Price $25; 500 spots left; open to ages 99 and under.
- 1 Mile Fun Run - Price $15; 150 spots left; open to ages 99 and under.
Course and logistics
The 5K start is near Tortora's and the finish is on the school side of the bridge on the greenway. The 1 Mile Fun Run is a simple out-and-back on the school side of the greenway and is mostly for children; all kids receive a ribbon. There is one aid station at the 5K turnaround. Parking is directed to the school parking lot. Portable toilets will be available near the start and finish.
Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet and Swift Recovery on Friday from 12:00 to 6:00, with additional pick-up at the race site near the finish area on race morning. Awards are available for pick-up at Fleet Feet on Monday. Sponsors include Fleet Feet, Dunkin Donuts, and Swift Recovery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
