Rocketman Triathlon 2026
Rocketman Triathlon 2026 is presented by Team Rocket Tri Club and takes place on August 30, 2026, at Carrol D Hudson Recreation Area, Redstone Arsenal, Laceys Springs, Alabama. The core event follows the traditional Olympic distance and athletes will start and finish at the recreation area.
The event offers multiple race formats with the following distances and options:
- Olympic triathlon: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Tri-Relay: Olympic distances shared by up to three participants
- Aqua-Bike: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike
- Cyclo-Run: 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Aqua-Pod: 1500 m swim, 10 km run
Registration opens on March 26, 2026, and closes on August 27, 2026. Entry fees vary by event; listed fees include amounts such as $75, $85, $100, and $210 depending on the chosen race type. Some divisions are organized by category names such as Athena and Clydesdale, and there are specific divisions for military participants. One division requires proof of service to be shown at packet pickup.
Access to Redstone Arsenal requires registration in the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) system or an appropriate recreational badge. DoD issued identification cards are automatically registered when scanned at installation gates. Non-DoD personnel must register at the Visitor Control Center outside Gate 9 or complete the visitor pre-registration process provided during event registration.
