Race For Justice
The Race For Justice takes place on September 7, 2026, at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville, Alabama. This athletic event serves as a fundraiser for the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program, which provides civil legal services to low-income individuals within the local community.
Participants can choose from several running options, including professionally certified courses for competitive distances. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 10K Run (6.2 miles)
- Combined 5K and 10K Run (9.3 miles)
- Kids Fun Run (1 mile)
Both the 5K and 10K routes hold USATF course certifications, with codes AL25025JE and AL25024JE respectively. Registration is open to the public with tiered fees based on the selected distance. The event also maintains a "Sleep In For Justice" category for those who wish to support the cause and receive an event shirt without participating in the physical races at the stadium.
The venue is located at 3125 Don Mincher Drive. Registration for all physical race categories concludes on September 6, 2026, while the remote registration option closes earlier in August. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
