Running for Africa 2025 is the third annual edition of a fundraising running event held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Point Mallard Park in Decatur, Alabama (2901 Point Mallard Circle SE, Decatur, AL 35601). The event supports Archangel Group International, a nonprofit working to fight poverty and human trafficking in Africa. The event is presented by Shottenkirk Honda of Decatur and powered by Fleet Feet Huntsville.
Race details
The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K : $30
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk : $25
Registration closes on November 17, 2025; an early-bird deadline is listed as November 14, 2025. Early registrants are eligible for a race shirt. All finishers will receive a medal. Awards for the 5K include trophies for top overall and master male and female finishers, plus 1st–3rd place medals in all age divisions for male and female categories. The listed age divisions include 14 & under; 15–19; 20–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; and 70 & up.
