Running for Africa 2026
Running for Africa 2026 is scheduled for September 19, 2026, at The Park at Hayes Farm in Huntsville, Alabama. The event location is listed as 801 Haysland Road SW, Huntsville, AL 35801.

- 5K race
- 1 mile fun run
Registration for both events opens June 8, 2026, and closes August 31, 2026. Early registrants are eligible to receive a free event t-shirt.
The 5K race includes awards for overall and age-group performance. Trophies will be presented to the fastest overall male and female finishers and to the Masters 40+ male and female finishers. For the 5K, first through third place medals will be awarded in multiple male and female age categories. All finishers will receive a medal. Age categories listed for the 5K include examples such as 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, and 70+ years.
The event supports Archangel Group International, a nonprofit organization working on poverty reduction and anti-trafficking efforts in Africa. The event is presented with involvement from local partners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
