Running for Africa 2026

Running for Africa 2026 is a community running event held on September 19, 2026, at The Park at Hayes Farm in Huntsville, Alabama (801 Haysland Road SW, Huntsville, AL 35803). The event benefits Archangel Group International, an organization that works to address poverty and human trafficking in Africa and that provides community support and law enforcement training.

The event program includes these distances:

5K race
1 mile fun run

Registration details and fees are published for each race. Registration opens April 12, 2026 and closes August 31, 2026. The published entry fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-mile fun run. Early registrants may receive a race shirt.

Awards are specified for the 5K race. Trophies will be given to the fastest overall male and female finishers and to the Masters (40+) male and female finishers. In addition, 1st through 3rd place medals will be awarded in multiple male and female age-group categories for the 5K. All finishers will receive a medal.
