Clift Farm Classic
The Clift Farm Classic is the inaugural community road event held on September 12, 2026, at the Village Green in the Clift Farm development in Madison, Alabama. The event includes a certified 5K and a family friendly measured 1 Mile Fun Run, both starting and finishing at the Village Green and running through new Clift Farm neighborhoods.
Distances
- 5K: USATF certified course through Clift Farm neighborhoods.
- 1 Mile Fun Run: measured approximately one mile with police and course marshal presence.
The 5K course is largely flat, routed across former farming pastures with grades below 3 percent. Two aid and recovery stations are provided: one at the start and finish area offering hydration, first aid, snacks, and electrolytes, and one on course between mile 1 and mile 2 offering water and first aid. The event is chip timed using RFID.
All finishers of the 5K and 1 Mile receive a custom finisher medal. Participants who register before the T-shirt deadline of September 1 are guaranteed a short sleeve cotton race shirt; shirts may be available in limited quantities after that date. Awards are given for overall male and female, Masters and GrandMasters divisions, and top three male and female in standard 10 year age groups. Additional event features include on site free parking, race day food and redeemable coupons, raffles and giveaways, prizes, and a community celebration atmosphere. Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed at the back of the pack; bicycles and similar devices are not permitted. Early packet pick up is scheduled at Clift Farm businesses prior to race day with packet pick up also available at the Village Green on race morning.
