9/11 Heroes Run - Huntsville, Alabama

The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K is held in Madison, Alabama at Trash Panda Stadium. The event takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The run is held to honor the heroes of September 11, 2001, and those who have served since. The organizing foundation aims to unite communities and support local veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and families of the fallen.

The event includes several participation categories:

• 5K Run - with options for Individual, Active Duty Military or First Responder, PUSHER, and RIDER (Honor Bib) entries.
• 5K Ruck - a sport based on special forces training where participants walk or run while carrying a weighted backpack. Options are available for Individual and Active Duty Military or First Responder participants. It is held in partnership with GORUCK, and participants in these divisions receive an exclusive patch.
• 1-Mile Run/Walk.
• Volunteer opportunities.
