Course and rules
The course is entirely on Holkham Beach and crosses part of the National Nature Reserve. The final route will be confirmed with the nature reserve team to avoid nesting sites and dune work. The course starts and finishes on the beach at Holkham Gap and includes sections behind the sand dunes and along the open beach, including a crossing of a shallow channel. The minimum age is 16. Runners must not run with a dog or pushchair, must not wear headphones so they can hear marshals, and may be disqualified for littering.
Logistics and facilities
Entry is limited to 250 places; a waiting list is operated via Total Race Timing once the limit is reached. Registration is at the Lookout Café at the beach end of Lady Anne’s Drive and race numbers include a timing tag. There is car parking at Lady Anne’s Drive car park (Ordnance Survey grid reference TF892445) with a parking charge listed as £3.60 (2025 prices). Toilets are available in the Lookout Café and in Holkham village. A first aid provider will be present. Awards are given for first, second and third male and female finishers, and every finisher will receive a memento.
