Norfolk Coastal Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
Runners-next-the-Sea organises the Norfolk Coastal Trail Full and Half Marathons along the Norfolk Coast Path. The event donates £5.00 from every entry to The East Anglian Air Ambulance. Entry limits are 200 for the full marathon and 300 for the half marathon.

The full marathon start location is Holme-next-the-Sea car park and the half marathon start location is Burnham Overy Staithe/Burnham Overy Village Hall. Both routes follow the waymarked Norfolk Coast Path, are mainly off road, and finish at Morston. Distances are approximate because the route has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer.
Coach transport from the finish to the start is available before the event for a fee of £12 and must be booked with entry. Car parking at Holme-next-the-Sea and Morston is pay and display; Burnham Overy playing field is for drop offs only and vehicles must be removed by 11.00am. There are cut offs at Burnham Overy (1.00pm) and Stiffkey (3.45pm).
The course uses gun electronic timing with mats at checkpoints and manual recording for safety. Marshals will be at main road crossings but will not stop traffic. Checkpoints on the routes provide water, squash and light snacks; The Lookout Lady Anne’s Holkham offers water only and toilet access.
Entrants must be 18 or older. The event is cup less, so bring reusable drink containers. First aiders are present at the Start/Finish and along the course. All finishers receive a bespoke medal; prizes are awarded 1st to 3rd in Female and Male/Open categories. The event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics rules, Marathon permit TRA 8102 and Half Marathon permit TRA 8101. Entry fees are: Full Marathon affiliated £36, unaffiliated £38; Half Marathon affiliated £28, unaffiliated £30. Race numbers can be posted for £2 or collected at registration.
