FunRunForJo 2026
FunRunForJo 2026 is an annual community event held at Oakwell Hall and Country Park in Birstall, West Yorkshire. The event marks the tenth and final RunforJo and brings together participants to remember the person the event commemorates and the phrase "there is more in common than that which divides us."
The main participatory element is a 2.5 kilometres family fun run held on a single lap course. The course is multi terrain with an undulating profile and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Entry is limited to 150 places and entry on the day is not available; the listed individual entry fee is £10.00.
Event features described by the organiser include food stalls, a bar, entertainment and a Mascots' Race. Fancy dress is optional and may be rewarded with prizes. Proceeds are directed to MoreInCommon Batley & Spen to support local projects.
Facilities at race headquarters opposite Oakwell Hall include water, distance markers, toilets and baggage storage. The baggage store is unsupervised and items are left at the owner’s risk.
