The Round Res
The Round Res is a three person relay based on a 5 km route around Scammonden Water. The event is located at Scammonden Water, Top Car Park, Sledge Gate, Scammonden, HD3 3FT. Teams run successive laps around the reservoir and finish together.
The relay format divides the total distance among three runners. Distances for each team member are:
- Runner 1 - 15 km
- Runner 2 - 10 km
- Runner 3 - 5 km
Lap sequence is staged so that runner 1 begins alone, picks up runner 2 after the first lap, and both pick up runner 3 after the second lap. The final lap is run by all three team members who cross the finish line together.
Each team will be live GPS tracked at no extra cost. Race batons are issued at registration and a baggage store is located next to registration. Entrants may enter multiple teams; the event requests a minimum entry of one ladies team or one men’s team. Entry is limited to a maximum of 45 teams of three and there is no entry on the day. An early bird fee of £33 per team is listed.
Prizes are awarded to first all male, first all female and first mixed teams, with a trophy for the overall winning team. Pizza is available at the finish with a menu and ordering deadline provided in event details. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
