Runamuck 50k : April 10, 2027
The Runamuck 50K is scheduled for April 10, 2027 in South Pomfret, Vermont. The race begins and ends at the Saskadena Six ski area and is planned as an outdoor, on-site event.
The course covers approximately 27 miles of mostly hilly dirt roads plus about 4 miles of pavement, with a total elevation gain of 3,726 vertical feet. From the start runners encounter climbs and dips through forested backroads, rolling hills, and occasional steeper pitches. The route is described as having constant undulation before returning to the ski area base.
Weather conditions at the event can be variable; wind, mud, rain, and possibly snow are all mentioned as possible conditions to expect. The course is almost entirely on dirt roads with a limited amount of pavement.
Support on course includes two fully stocked aid stations located roughly at miles 12 and 23, and two additional water stops around miles 6 and 27 that offer orange and banana slices.
