About the race
Run4Geelong is a community running event held at the Geelong Waterfront on Ritchie Boulevard with an Event Village at Eastern Beach Reserve. The event offers multiple course distances, including a new half marathon for 2026, the 10 km, 5 km, 3 km and a 1 km Kids Dash for children under 12. Distances are open to running, walking or rolling. The event supports the Barwon Health Foundation.
Funds raised help pay for equipment, research and facilities that support health care in the region. The event includes a Community Cup for teams from schools, clubs, workplaces and community groups, with prizes for top teams by registration numbers. Organisers provide course maps, accessibility support on course and on the day, bag drop and a Race Pack Collection Zone prior to event day. Prams are permitted but should start at the back of waves to ease congestion.
Dogs are not permitted except for accredited service animals. Transfers and changes to entries are available before registrations close, subject to availability and possible fees. Additional event features listed by organisers include free training programs for selected distances, volunteer opportunities, a fundraising leaderboard and an Event Village with registration and bag drop services.
