About the race
Heroes & Villains is a Saturday evening trail run held at You Yangs Regional Park in the Western Plantation. The event uses a 5km loop course and includes headtorch-supported running for the loop that is used by longer race distances.
The program offers a range of distances:
- 2km
- 5km (including a 5km Canicross option)
- 10km
- 21km
- 42km
- 50km
- 6hr
Shorter distances are scheduled to finish before sunset, while the 21km, 42km and 50km extend into the night and are run under headtorch. The event is described as safe and supported, and is part of a Saturday evening race series intended to introduce participants to night running.
