Event overview
The Lara Fun Run / Walk is scheduled for November 30, 2025 at Serendip Sanctuary, Lara, with the start and finish within the grounds of Pirra Mansion. Distances offered:
- 10 km
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 1 km Kids Dash (primary school aged children, approx 5–12 years)
The event has an overall field limit of 1000 entrants. All finishers receive a finisher medal and an online personalised finishers certificate showing official finishing time, pace and place. Personalised race bibs are available to registrants before a specified deadline.
Course, facilities and competition details
The 5 km course is a flat single lap; the 10 km course comprises two laps around Serendip Sanctuary. The route passes through native bushland and may include sightings of kangaroos, emus, koalas and native birdlife. The course is normally closed to the general public. A staffed baggage holding area will be provided at the event site; participants are asked not to leave valuables. Secure off-road parking is available on land directly opposite the event entrance, less than 100 m from the start/finish area.
Drink stations are positioned at about 2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km and at the finish. Trophies will be awarded to overall winners of the 10 km and 5 km events. Age-group medals (gold, silver, bronze) and overall placings are determined by gun time rather than net time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
