Event details
The Lara Fun Run / Walk takes place on November 30, 2025, at Serendip Sanctuary, Windermere Road, Lara. The start and finish are within the grounds of Pirra Mansion. Distances offered:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run/walk
- 1 km Kids Dash
The overall field limit is 1000. The 5 km course is a flat single lap and the 10 km course is two laps of the same route. The course runs through Serendip Sanctuary and passes native wildlife such as kangaroos, emus, koalas and native birds. Every finisher receives a medal and an online personalised finishers certificate showing name, official finishing time, pace and place. Personalised race bibs are available for registrations completed before October 19.
Race logistics and rules
A secure, staffed baggage holding area will operate at the event site. Drink stations are located at about 2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km and at the finish line. Secure off-road parking is available on land opposite the event entrance, less than 100 m from the start/finish area. Spectator pets on a lead are allowed but pets are not permitted on the course. Walkers should keep left on the 10 km two-lap course to allow faster participants to pass. Prize categories include overall trophies for 10 km and 5 km winners and Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for 1st to 3rd in each age group; results are calculated on Gun Time.
