Event Overview

Run4Bibles is an afternoon trail running event scheduled for March 7, 2026. It takes place at Cedar Ridge Preserve in Dallas, Texas. The event offers five distance options:

  • 26 Miler (Marathon)
  • 1/2 Marathon
  • 10K
  • 5K
  • 1 Mile (Hike-n-Run)

The 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon, and Marathon races are chip-timed; the 1 Mile event is not timed. There are cut-off times for the races. Entry fees are tax-deductible and support two causes: Equip Disciples Bible study groups in Rwanda and DR Congo, and the maintenance of Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve.

Course & Terrain

The course is on the trails of Cedar Ridge Preserve, described as a popular and challenging trail running area in North Texas. Runners will encounter a variety of surfaces including mulch, solid rock, gravel, dirt, and wooden bridges. The terrain includes switchbacks, some flat areas, and steep sections, with both wide trails and singletrack. The area is wooded with small streams, a large pond, a lookout tower, and a birdwatching hut.

The longer distances involve multiple loops of a described course that includes trails named BackstagePass, Park in the Woods, Prairie, Bluebonnet, and Escarpment. Aid stations are located on the course.

Awards & Registration

Awards for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon are given for overall, masters, grand masters, and various age categories. All finishers of the Half Marathon receive a medal. The medals are unique, hand-carved wooden medals made in DR Congo.

Registration fees are non-refundable but may be rolled over to a future event under specific conditions. Runners can change their race distance up to one hour before the race or transfer their bib to another runner before the start. T-shirts are available for purchase by a specified deadline.

Participants must follow park rules, which include no strollers, bikes, dogs, weapons, smoking, or alcohol on the trails during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
