BMW Dallas Marathon
The BMW Dallas Marathon is organized by the Dallas White Rock Marathon nonprofit, founded in 1971. The organization stages a multi-day running festival that includes a range of race distances and team formats alongside community and youth events.

The courses pass through multiple Dallas neighborhoods, entertainment districts and city landmarks. The event is observed each year on BMW Dallas Marathon Day, the second Sunday of December, when tens of thousands of spectators typically line streets and neighborhoods to watch runners.
Since naming a primary beneficiary in 1997, the event has donated nearly $5 million to Scottish Rite for Children. The festival lists a range of organizational partners and service providers, including BMW, Oncor, Baylor Scott & White Health, Fleet Feet, Asics, CBS Texas, HEB and the Dallas Sports Commission.
