Run with the Wolves 5K and 1 Mile - Atlanta
The Run with the Wolves is a community road event organized by the parent teacher community association of Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School (ANCS). The 2026 edition is scheduled for May 2, 2026 at the ANCS middle campus, located at 820 Essie Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30316. The event includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The event has been held annually since 2012 and is presented to promote healthy lifestyle choices and fitness awareness. Participation is open to people regardless of school affiliation. The race is an official qualifier for the Atlanta Journal Constitution Peachtree Road Race, and results from this event may be used when registering for that race.
Registrations are offered in staged pricing periods, with discounted rates for ANCS students, parents, caregivers, and staff. Participants who register by April 17, 2026 are guaranteed a limited edition 2026 event t shirt; later registrants receive shirts only while supplies last. Pre race bib and shirt pickup is scheduled at ANCS campus locations in the days before the event. Walk up registration and bib pickup are available on race day but shirt availability is not guaranteed.
Awards will be given to top finishers across multiple age groups and overall categories. Volunteer opportunities are available before, during, and after the event. A 5K course map is provided by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
