Event overview
Run with the Nuns 2026 is a 5K run/walk held at the Mount Assisi Center and Convent, 13860 Main St, Lemont, Illinois. The event takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
The race follows an all-terrain route through the natural hills and scenery of the Mount Assisi campus. The course includes different surfaces, from asphalt to grass. Runners and walkers take part together.
All in-person participants receive a custom race medal and a long sleeve performance shirt. Race proceeds benefit the School Sisters of St. Francis of Christ the King.
Award categories recognize the top 3 men, top 3 women, top 3 youth boys, and top 3 youth girls.
Distances and entry options
The event offers:

- 5K run/walk - virtual option
Registration fees for the in-person event are listed as $50 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under in the race information, while the online registration platform shows:
- Adult 5K (age 13 & over): early price around $49.54, then $54.88
- Youth 5K (age 12 & under): $22.85
Virtual runners complete 5K (3.1 miles) at a time and place of their choice. Virtual participation costs $50, which includes mailing of the shirt and medal within the United States. Virtual runners do not appear in official results and are not eligible for awards.
Pre-race packet pick up and in-person registration are offered at Mount Assisi on Thursday, October 15, 2026 and Saturday, October 17, 2026, with additional packet pick up on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
