Run Wild 5K - North Tustin (OC Zoo Irvine Regional Park)
The Run Wild 5K is a community 5K run/walk held on November 7, 2026 at the OC Zoo in Irvine Regional Park. The event benefits the Orange County Parks Foundation. Participants run through the OC Zoo and receive free zoo entry after the event.
Event offerings include a main 5K run/walk and a 1K kids course. There is a festival area and a costume contest as part of the race day program.

The OC Zoo houses more than 100 animals such as a black bear, jaguar, mountain lions, a bald eagle, kit fox, ocelot, beaver, and great horned owl. Many animals at the zoo are injured, orphaned, confiscated, or not releasable to the wild. The zoo also features a barnyard with domestic goats and sheep.
Logistics and policies include an OC Park vehicle fee of $5, with race participants eligible for free park entry through the gate attendant on race day. Dogs are not allowed for safety reasons. Strollers are permitted with a request that stroller users start near the back. Only participants with a bib receive a shirt and a medal.
