Run Wild 5K at OC Zoo
The Run Wild 5K is a 5K run/walk held on November 7, 2026, at the OC Zoo in Irvine Regional Park. The event benefits the Orange County Parks Foundation and routes participants through the OC Zoo. Participants receive free zoo entry after the event.

The OC Zoo is home to more than 100 animals, including a black bear, jaguar, mountain lions, a bald eagle, kit fox, ocelot, beaver, and great horned owl. Many of the animals are injured, orphaned, confiscated, or not releasable to the wild. The zoo also features a barnyard with domestic goats and sheep.
Race day schedule includes registration and a festival, opening ceremonies, the 5K walk/run, a costume contest, and a 1K kids run. Bib and shirt pick-up is available on-site on race day. The event location is 1 Irvine Park Rd, Orange, CA 92869.
Parking at Irvine Regional Park normally requires a $5 per vehicle fee; race attendees are admitted without that fee when they identify themselves at the park gate. Dogs are not allowed in the race. Strollers are permitted; participants with strollers are asked to give others space and start toward the back. Only participants with a bib receive a shirt and a medal.
