Pinch a Penny Back to School Summer Classic 5K
The Pinch a Penny Back to School Summer Classic 5K is a community road race held in Mandarin, Jacksonville at 11112 San Jose Boulevard on August 1, 2026. The course starts and finishes at Pinch A Penny and is described as fast and straightforward, suitable for competitive runners and casual participants.
Event provisions include finisher medals for the first 300 5K finishers, race shirts for the first 300 5K registrants, one water station on the course, and post race refreshments. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 31 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with two pickup locations: 1st Place Sports Baymeadows at 3931 Baymeadows Rd and 1st Place Sports San Marco at 2016 San Marco Blvd. Race day pickup is available, while shirts are only guaranteed with pre race pickup.
Online registration closes at noon on July 30. In person registration is available at the 1st Place Sports locations through the day before the race and on race morning. Members of the Florida Striders club receive a club discount but must register each family member using a separate profile to obtain the discount.
