Sandia Resort & Casino 2027 Run to Break the Silence
This event takes place on April 18, 2027 at Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It includes trail races, youth runs, a kids obstacle run, and a virtual 5K option. The 5K and 10K start and finish in the far east parking lot and follow an all-terrain cross-country course in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. The 10K course includes two hydration stations; the 5K course includes one hydration station. No pets are allowed on site. Strollers are permitted at the community fair portion of the event, but strollers are not permitted on the 5K or 10K courses.
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the event at New Mexico Look, 6611 Menaul Blvd. NE; packets include shirt if the participant registered by April 9, 2027, plus bib and timing chip. If registering at packet pick-up, payment is by card only. A kids obstacle course is organized with separate groups for ages 2 to 6 and ages 7 to 12. A virtual 5K allows participants to complete a 5K on their own schedule and route during the event window; there is no set course for the virtual option. Proceeds support the Presbyterian Ear Institute's School for Oral Deaf Education.
