Run to Break the Silence : Sandia Resort & Casino
Run to Break the Silence takes place on April 18, 2027 at Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event benefits the Presbyterian Ear Institute and supports its School for Oral Deaf Education.
The event features multiple distances:
- 5K Trail Run/Walk
- 10K Trail Run
- Kids Fun Run (1K)
- Virtual 5K option
The 5K and 10K use an all-terrain cross-country trail in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains and start and finish in the far east parking lot of the resort. The 5K course has one hydration station and the 10K course has two hydration stations. The Kids Fun Run includes an age-appropriate obstacle course with separate starts for ages 2–6 and ages 7–12. The virtual 5K allows participants to complete the distance on their own schedule and route; there is no set start time or course for the virtual option.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for the day before the event at New Mexico Look, 6611 Menaul Blvd. NE. Packets include the race bib and timing chip and will include shirts for participants who registered by April 9, 2027. Day-of registration and packet pick-up are available and are card only.
No pets are allowed on site. Infant or toddler strollers are permitted in the community fair area but are not allowed in the 5K or 10K races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
