Run the Vineyards - Sips, Tricks or Sweets 5K
This is the 12th annual Halloween themed running event at Tolino Winery in Bangor, Pennsylvania. The event offers a chip-timed 5K race with live-streamed results and a non-timed 1 Mile Walk. Walkers and children may participate in the 5K but must be registered; the 5K has a one hour time limit.
Included items vary by entry type and age. All finishers receive a souvenir stemless wine glass and a custom tech T-shirt, with an option to upgrade to a long sleeve shirt for an extra fee; registering by October 18 guarantees shirt choice while supplies last. Finishers aged 21 plus receive one glass of wine. Minors receive a discounted registration price but do not receive a wine ticket.
Event amenities and services include water at a station and at the finish, postfinish treats and bananas, free downloadable photos, and live musical entertainment during the event. Food is available for purchase from an on site vendor. Awards are given to the fastest male and female winners, top three overall, and age group placings (14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, then every 10 years). A souvenir finisher medal is available for purchase during registration or on race day while supplies last.
The event proceeds rain or shine. There are no refunds or deferrals. Volunteers receive event benefits including a glass of wine at the after party and a complimentary future race entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
