Lehigh Valley New Year's Chaser
The event offers three race distances on the Ironton Rail Trail in Coplay, Pennsylvania. All races start and finish at the same point next to the Cement Kilns and use paved trail surface. The course details include a two loop structure for the half marathon based on a 5.25 mile loop that contains a spur making each loop 6.55 miles. The half marathon course is described as generally flat on immaculate asphalt without potholes. Course elevations range from 365 to 389 feet with about 184 feet of elevation gain per 6.55 mile loop; one section rises 30 feet in 0.3 mile. The 10K follows the same loop with a shorter out and back spur to reach about 6.2 miles. Aid stations with water and Gatorade are provided roughly every two miles. There is a four hour time limit for all events.

All registrants receive a t shirt, finisher medal and a pair of running socks. Combo entrants receive a Combo Platter plaque and first time half marathon and combo finishers receive a plaque. There is a 10 percent entry discount for service members and their families. Early start rules note no early starts for the 5K and 10K, a single early start option for the half with no awards for early starts, and pace guidance for early starters. Awards are available for top overall finishers and age group placements and may be picked up after finishing rather than at a formal ceremony.
