Lehigh Valley New Year's Chaser
On January 1, 2027 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley New Year's Chaser stages multiple running events that start and finish at the same point on Sand Island Park. All races head east on the D&L Trail.
Turnaround points are marked with signs, tape, and orange cones: the 5K turns at mile 1.55, the 10K at mile 3.1, and the half marathon at mile 6.55. The course is very flat. Plenty of portable toilets are located near the start/finish area.
Entry fees include a t-shirt, finisher's medal, and ankle running socks, though items may sometimes be unavailable at the event. The event offers a non-binary registration option with separate award categories for overall and age groups. First-time half marathon finishers receive a ceremonial First 5K/10K/Half Marathon special plaque in addition to a finisher's medal. The event is part of a new Half Marathon series and features a post-race celebration.
