About the race
The Run the Vineyards Saddlehill Winery 5K is held at a historic vineyard and horse farm in Voorhees, New Jersey, located approximately 12 miles from Philadelphia. The event takes place on a unique and picturesque property that features a scenic cross-country style course. The terrain consists of grass and dirt trails through the vineyard, and the course is described as flat.
Participants receive a chip-timed experience with results available via live stream. The race is open to runners and walkers of all paces, with a requested time limit of one hour. For safety, walkers and children start behind the main group of runners. While strollers are permitted, the course is unpaved and consists entirely of natural terrain.
Registered participants receive a custom tech tee, with various style options available for men, women, and youth. Additionally, finishers over the age of 21 receive a complimentary glass of wine in a souvenir stemless wine glass featuring the race logo. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female winners, as well as winners in specific age categories ranging from 14 and under to seniors.
Amenities provided at the venue include free on-site parking, water stations along the course, and a bag check service. After the event, there is an after-party featuring live music and food options provided by the winery kitchen. The race partners with the HEADstrong Foundation for charitable donations.
