9/11 Heroes Run - Philadelphia
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a community event held at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This event brings together local residents, veterans, active-duty military, and first responders to honor the individuals related to the events of September 11 and those who have served since. The courses are open to individuals and families across various fitness levels.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5K Run: Available for individual civilians, active-duty military, and first responders.
- 5K Ruck: A division partnered with GORUCK where participants carry weighted rucksacks.
- 1-Mile Run/Walk: A shorter distance titled the John D. Titus Jr. 1-Mile.
The rucking divisions are based on special forces training methods. Participants who register for and complete the 5K Ruck division receive an exclusive Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) GORUCK patch. All athletic activities take place within the Philadelphia Navy Yard at 4747 South Broad Street.
