Run the Vineyards - Running Hare 5K
The Run the Vineyards event holds its eighth annual chip timed 5K at Running Hare Vineyards in Prince Frederick, Maryland on May 2, 2026. The course takes place on the vineyard property and the winery is open for visitors during and after the event. Packet pick up is available on race day at the Good Day for a Run tent.
Race features include a custom high quality tech shirt with options for women's, men's/unisex and youth sizes. A women's racerback tank top is available for an additional fee and men's tank tops are optional at no extra charge. Registration before April 19 guarantees first choice of apparel while supplies last. All finishers receive a Run the Vineyards stemless wine glass and finishers over 21 receive a glass of Running Hare wine. Souvenir finisher medals can be purchased during registration or on race day.
Additional offerings listed by the organizer include live music immediately after the race, a food truck at the after party, free downloadable race photos taken by a professional photographer, and awards for the top three overall plus age group awards for male and female finishers. Walkers and children may participate; a one hour time limit is requested and walkers are asked to start behind runners for safety.
