Run the Vineyards - Running Hare 5K
The Run the Vineyards - Running Hare 5K is the eighth annual edition held at Running Hare Vineyards in Prince Frederick, Maryland on May 2, 2026. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and takes place on the vineyard property.
The race is chip timed and includes a custom race shirt with choices of women's, men's/unisex or youth tees. Women's racerback tanks are available for an additional $5. Registration by April 19 guarantees first choice for shirt selection; extras are available while supplies last. Finishers over 21 receive a glass of Running Hare wine, and all finishers receive a Run the Vineyards stemless wine glass. Souvenir finisher medals are offered for $8 during registration or $10 on race day.
Awards are given to the top three overall and to male and female age group winners (14 and under, 15–19, 20–29 and every 10 years thereafter). A professional photographer will provide free downloadable race photos. A live musician performs post-race and a food truck will be available at the after-party.
Participation requires registration. The event runs rain or shine. No transfers or refunds are allowed, and strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. Volunteer opportunities are available with listed perks for volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
