Neon Run 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Neon Run 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run is an annual fundraising event held at Grace Christian Academy in Waldorf, Maryland. This community-focused gathering supports various needs within the school to enhance the educational experience. The event grounds feature several activities including bounce houses, backyard games, and a DJ providing music. Food trucks are also present on-site.
The event offers two distinct distances for participants:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 5 km (3.1 miles) Neon Run
The 1 Mile Fun Run is designed for students from age three through second grade, with the option for parents to accompany their children. Participants in this distance receive an event T-shirt upon check-in.
The 5 km Neon Run is open to all participants, including students from third through eighth grade and their family members. This course is open to both runners and walkers. Those registered for the 5 km distance receive an event T-shirt, a race bib, and a shoe chip for electronic timing.
