Run the Runway at Chicago Executive Airport
Run the Runway at Chicago Executive Airport is scheduled for June 27, 2026 in Wheeling, Illinois at Chicago Executive Airport. The event comprises several participant options held on the airport’s main runways and taxiways. The 5K course is USATF certified and chip timed.

Post-event activities include podium awards, music, food, giveaways and kids' activities. There are planned guest appearances by costumed characters during the morning. Strollers and wagons are welcome on course. Pets are not allowed.
Packet pickup is available at 1020 S Plant Rd, Wheeling on selected days before the event. Parking is located off site only. The organizers state this is a fundraising event with proceeds benefiting local aviation scholarships; as a result no refunds will be issued and the event will not be rescheduled. In case of inclement weather a cancellation decision will be made on the day of the event.
