Event Overview
The Run The Runway 5K and Kids Fun Run is held at the Meriden Markham Airport in Connecticut. This event provides participants with the opportunity to run, jog, or walk on an active airport runway. The race is presented by the Meriden Markham Airport, the City of Meriden, and the Meriden Running Club.

The 5K course begins on the Meriden Markham Runway, transitions into the South Meriden neighborhood, and returns to the airport for a finish on the runway. The Kids Fun Run is a free event for younger participants. All registrations must be completed online.
Logistics and Participation
The event takes place at Meriden Markham Airport, located at 213 Evansville Ave. Participants who register for the 5K by October 11 are guaranteed a commemorative T-shirt; after this date, shirts are provided based on availability. For safety and operational reasons, dogs are not permitted within the airfield property.
Awards are presented following the conclusion of the races. Recognition is given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from 15 and under to 70 and older.
