5K for Ballet

5K for Ballet is a community running and walking event hosted by the Creative Dance Center on October 25, 2026 at the Haddam Neck Fairgrounds in East Hampton, CT. The event includes both a timed run and an untimed walk and supports the Creative Dance Center's 44th annual Christmas show, Santa's Workshop.

• 3.1 Miles (timed 5K run)
• 2 Miles (untimed walk)

All proceeds from the 5K help cover production costs for the show, and the show’s profits will go to the East Hampton Food Bank. Registration opens May 16, 2026 and must be complete by October 24, 2026; there will be no same-day registration. Entry fees listed through the registration deadline are $25 for ages 16 and older and $20 for ages 15 and under, plus processing fees.

The course starts and ends at the Haddam Neck Fairgrounds and runs on relatively flat country roads with two moderate inclines and one steep decline. The route follows the Haddam Neck Road Race course in the reverse direction. Professional timing is provided by Time to Tri Race Timing. Walkers are not timed and do not need a bib but should check in on arrival.

Additional event details: participation medallions for the first 100 registrants, first-place awards for male and female 16+ and 15 and under, a costume contest with prizes, strollers welcome, and no dogs please.
