5K for Ballet
The Creative Dance Center presents 5K for Ballet at the Haddam Neck Fairgrounds in East Hampton, CT. The event includes a timed 5K (3.1 miles) and an untimed 2 mile walk.

All proceeds will help cover production costs for the Creative Dance Center’s 44th annual Christmas show, Santa’s Workshop, and the show’s profits will go to the East Hampton Food Bank. Registration opens May 16, 2026 and closes October 24, 2026 at 8 PM; there is no same day registration. Entry fees listed by age apply and processing fees may be added.
The course starts and finishes at the Haddam Neck Fairgrounds and runs on relatively flat country roads with two moderate inclines and one steep decline. The route follows the Haddam Neck Road Race course in reverse. Professional timing is provided by Time to Tri Race timing. Walkers are not timed and do not require a bib but should check in upon arrival.
Onsite activities include a Halloween costume contest with prizes for best adult and best child costumes, and a performance by Creative Dance students. First 100 participants receive a participation medallion. Strollers are welcome and dogs are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
