Run The River 2026 : Greater Midland
Run The River takes place on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Tridge area in Midland, Michigan. The event is part of River Days and is scheduled as an evening festival program that includes hot air balloons, a Balloon Glow later in the evening, live music, an art fair, a market, ziplining, a bungee jumper, a climbing wall, and an outdoor movie behind The H Hotel.
Race options include:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- 1 Mile Run on the Chippewa Trail (other side of the Tridge)
Awards are given for top finishers in multiple categories. The 5K Run includes awards to the top three male and female overall and masters finishers, plus age-group awards for both males and females in standard divisions. The 5K Walk has awards for the top three male and female overall finishers. The 1 Mile Run offers awards for youth participants 14 and under, with multiple age divisions.
Additional event details: race is powered by Preferred Chiropractic of Midland; participants in the run and walk receive a glass and a complimentary drink ticket for the Rotary Tent; the event is part of the Midland Triple Challenge with an option to register for all three races for extra items. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Lowest pricing is available through April 15 and increases on April 16, July 1, and July 30.
