Event Overview
The 3rd Annual Run the Grove takes place at Crawford Memorial Park in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood of southeast Dallas. This community event supports the Primos Dallas mentoring program, with proceeds contributing to scholarship funds for first-generation high school and college students.
Participants can choose between two primary distances on a paved trail:
- 5K Timed Run - A competitive, officially timed race on a certified course.
- 3K Fun Run - A non-timed course that is stroller and dog friendly.
Race Details and Amenities
The 5K participants receive a race t-shirt while supplies last, a completion medal, and immediate digital results. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in every age and sex category. The 3K participants also receive a t-shirt and access to the post-race amenities.
All registered runners have access to snacks, water, and a provided meal, which includes breakfast tacos and Mexican paletas. The event features various activities at the park, including music by a DJ, face painting, a photo booth, and games. Sponsor booths with giveaways are located on-site, and a playground is situated near the course.
Logistics
Registration and packet pickup are available on-site on race morning, with early bib pickup options held on the Thursday and Friday prior to the event. Parking is available in two designated lots at Crawford Memorial Park, with additional options along Elam Road and Prairie Creek Road.
