Run The Grove 5K by Primos Dallas
Run The Grove 5K by Primos Dallas is the third annual community running event held at Crawford Memorial Park in Dallas, TX on April 18, 2026. The event is organized by Primos Dallas, a mentoring program that serves families in the southeast Dallas neighborhood of Pleasant Grove.
The event features two distances:
- 5K Timed Run
- 3K Fun Run
The 5K is a certified course with official timing and awards for first, second, and third place in each age and sex category. 5K participants receive a t-shirt while supplies last, a completion medal, a meal, unlimited water, snacks, and immediate race results. The 3K Fun Run follows a paved route, is dog friendly and stroller friendly, and is not timed. 3K participants receive a t-shirt, a meal that includes breakfast tacos and a Mexican paleta, unlimited water, and snacks.
The event includes family friendly activities such as food, music, face painting, a photo booth, a nearby playground, and sponsor booths with giveaways. Primos Dallas uses the event to raise scholarship funds; since 2018 the organization has awarded $105,000 in scholarships for high school and college students. Race week packet pickup is scheduled for April 16 and April 17 with location to be announced. Parking is available in two lots indicated on the event map and along Elam Road and Prairie Creek Road.
