Run the Grove - TMNA
Run the Grove is the Timbergrove Manor Neighborhood Association's annual community race held on March 28, 2026. The event centers at Lorraine Cherry Nature Preserve, 2400 West 11th Street, Timbergrove Manor, Houston, Texas. The race supports neighborhood conservation and beautification projects and pledges a percentage of net proceeds to local schools.
Race details
- 5K - USATF certified; chip timed.
- Kids' Fun Run (approx. 1K) - all finishers receive a medal.
All participants receive a runner packet that includes a race t-shirt. Aid stations and water are provided at the start, the finish, and along the course. The 5K has age and gender divisions for awards: Men and Women in Under 20, 20-39, and 40+ categories. Awards for the 5K are given to the top three finishers in each category based on chip time.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, March 26 and 27, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at a location to be announced. Registration fees vary by date: 5K fees are $40 (early), $45 (regular), $50 (race day); Kids’ Fun Run fees are $20 (early), $25 (regular), $30 (race day). Parking is available at Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church (2025 West 11th Street) with overflow at Grace Bible Church.
Goals and community role
The event supports the Grow the Grove tree-planting initiative, conservation at Lorraine Cherry Nature Preserve, and donations to Love and Sinclair Elementary Schools.
