Run It Forward 5K
The inaugural Run It Forward 5K takes place at Crestmont Park in Houston, Texas. This community-centered event serves as the official launch for the Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program's annual signature event. Scheduled during National Financial Literacy Month, the race highlights the connections between wellness, discipline, and long-term preparation.
The event features a single distance:

The course is designed for participants who choose to run or walk. The route begins and ends inside Crestmont Park and follows a scenic loop through the surrounding neighborhood. Hydration stations are positioned along the course to support participants as they complete the loop.
The gathering includes music and a community atmosphere. All participants receive finisher medals upon completion of the distance, and awards are presented to the top three overall finishers. Following the race activity, the Crestmont Park Annual Community Fair takes place later in the afternoon at the same location.
Proceeds from the registration fees support several initiatives, including mentorship, leadership development, scholarships, and wellness programs.
