Running with My Peeps 10K - Energy Corridor
The 3rd Annual Running with My Peeps event takes place in Houston’s Energy Corridor on Saturday, April 4th. This spring-themed gathering features multiple distances hosted at the Addicks Park and Ride, located just off I-10 near Park Row Drive. The event is centered on a festive atmosphere featuring seasonal mascots and holiday-themed post-race refreshments.
Participants can choose from several event distances:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run or walk
- Kids Dash for children aged 12 and under
- Virtual Edition for those participating from home
The course is designed as a flat and fast, out-and-back route on Park Row Drive. The 5 km consists of a single loop, while the 10 km is a double loop of the same course. All distances finish inside the Addicks Park and Ride. The event is timed using RFID tags located on the participant bibs, though walkers and strollers are permitted and asked to start at the back of the group.
All registered participants receive an officially licensed finisher medal, a participant bib, and a performance technical t-shirt. The post-race area includes marshmallows and refreshments. The event partners with Memorial Assistance Ministries, a local non-profit that collects donations of diapers and wipes during the morning of the races.
