Event Overview
The green6.2 is a running event scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026. It marks its 18th anniversary and is the third event in the Houston Holiday Series. The event is organized in collaboration with Houston Running Co. and coincides with Earth Week celebrations.
Location and Venue
The event takes place at CITYCENTRE, located at 800 Town & Country Blvd, Houston, TX 77024. Free parking is available in the G1 and G2 Parking Garages on the upper levels, with signs directing participants to event parking.
Available Races
The event offers multiple in-person and virtual race options:
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- Kids + Family Fun Run
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 10K
The 10K race consists of two loops of the course, while the 5K is a single loop. The Kids/Family Fun Run is a 1K walk (0.62 miles).
Packet Pick-Up
Participants can collect their race packets and t-shirts at Sun & Ski Sports (6100 Westheimer Rd, Houston) on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 2 PM to 7 PM. Alternatively, a Race Day Packet Pick-Up option is available for a fee of $15.
Awards
Awards are given in several categories. They include:
- Top 3 Overall Male and Female finishers.
- Top 3 Masters Overall Male and Female finishers.
- First-place winners in 10-year age divisions.
Age group awards must be claimed at the awards tent on race day between 9:15 AM and 9:45 AM. Any unclaimed awards can be shipped later at the participant's expense ($9.95). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
