About the race
green6.2 is organized by Houston Running Co. and takes place on April 10, 2027 at 800 Town & Country Blvd, CITYCENTRE, Houston, TX 77024, United States. The event marks its 19th anniversary and is the third race of the Houston Holiday Series. It is scheduled during Earth Week.
The event includes multiple in person and virtual distances:
- 1K Kids and Family run
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 10K
- Guide 5K and Guide 10K categories for guides to adaptive athletes
There are dedicated guide categories for guides assisting adaptive athletes. Guides by default are not eligible for a bib, shirt, or medal, but those items can be added for a fee. Guides are not eligible for awards.
The program combines youth, recreational, competitive, and virtual options on the same date, and identifies itself with Earth Week programming and the Houston Holiday Series placement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
