Run the Farm 4M Run/Walk
This is the 12th anniversary edition held on August 15, 2026 at Oxhead Elementary School, 144 Oxhead Road, Centereach, NY. The event finishes at Hobbs Community Farm and offers in-person and virtual participation options.
- 4 mile run/walk, in-person or virtual
- Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under, untimed
- Virtual 4 mile with mailed items and optional time uploads
The course features approximately two miles of even ground, followed by about one mile of rolling hills and two climbs before arriving at the farm grounds. Parking is available at Oxhead Elementary School and on site at Hobbs Community Farm. Amenities include refreshments, pre and post race food and water at the farm, promotional goodie bags for all participants, and T-shirts for early registrants and the first 250 participants.
Registration options list a standard in-person or virtual 4 mile entry and a separate kids fun run fee. In-person entries include a shirt, a goodie bag, and a personalized bib; virtual entries also include those items and are shipped. Proceeds support improvements to the farm's handicap accessible garden and donations of produce to local food pantries.
Awards are given to top overall finishers, top military or veteran, top age group finishers across multiple age brackets, and wheelchair athletes. Bib pickup is available in person at Oxhead Elementary School and mailed for virtual participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
