Run the Farm 4M Run/Walk : Centereach, NY
The event is a community 4-mile run/walk that finishes at Hobbs Community Farm and is based at Oxhead Elementary School, 144 Oxhead Road, Centereach, NY. The course begins with about two miles of even ground, continues with roughly one mile of rolling hills and two climbs, and ends on the farm property. Parking is available at the elementary school and on-site at Hobbs Farm.

Registration options include in-person and virtual 4-mile entries and a children’s fun run. Some registrations include a shirt, a goodie bag, and a personalized bib; virtual entries receive mailed items. The first 250 participants receive a T-shirt. Amenities listed for the event include refreshments, pre- and post-race food and water at Hobbs Farm, goodie bags for all runners, awards, and porta-potties at the start and finish areas.
Awards are given to top finishers overall and by age group, with separate recognition for active military or veterans and accommodations for wheelchair athletes. Proceeds support improvements to the handicap-accessible garden and community programs at Bethel Hobbs Community Farm, a nonprofit, all-volunteer farm on 11 acres in Centereach.
