2026 Run the 502
River City Races organizes the 2026 Run the 502, a series of road races offered across 2026 and into early 2027. The calendar lists fifteen events with the potential to add more. Participants must register for the Run the 502 series and enter at least six races on the calendar to be eligible for the special Run the 502 medal.
For every race a participant finishes, they receive a bonus finisher's charm showing that race's logo. Medals and charms are distributed at the conclusion of the series on February 13, 2027, at the Snowman Shuffle 4 Mile. Only finishers of individual races receive the corresponding charm.
The calendar includes a mix of standalone 5k races, multi-distance events and seasonal themed races. Examples from the schedule include Love Like Deana 5k, Fix ‘Em 5k, The Parklands & WLKY 5k, Downtown Doubler 30k/15k/8k/4k, Santa Sprint and Stroll 5k, Frostbite 5k, and Snowman Shuffle 4 Mile. Races marked with an asterisk are part of the Polar Bear Grand Prix and offer an extra goodie for participants who register for that series.
