Run the 502

Overview
Run the 502 is a series of running events organized by River City Races. The 2026 edition includes fifteen races, with the potential for more to be added. The series involves multiple events from April 2026 to February 2027.
Event Series Details
Participants who register for the Run the 502 series and enter at least six of the listed races become eligible for a special Run the 502 medal. For each individual race a participant finishes, they receive a bonus finisher's charm featuring that race's logo. These charms are designed to hang from the series medal. The medal and charms are distributed after the final series event, the Snowman Shuffle 4 Miler on February 13, 2027.

- Dr. Ed Morgan/Kiwanis Grand Slam 4 Mile
- Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival 5k
- Downtown Doubler 30k/15k/8k/4k
- Bark in the Park 5k Run/Walk
- Welcome Home 5k
- Pupkin Spice 5k Run/Walk
- Reindeer Romp 4k Run/Walk
- Santa Sprint and Stroll 5k
- Frostbite 5k Run/Walk
- Snowman Shuffle 4 Mile Run/Walk
Several of these races are also part of other series, such as the River City Races Six Pack and the Polar Bear Grand Prix.
Team Challenge
A Team Challenge is available for groups of three to five people. Teams can be Male, Female, or Coed divisions. The three fastest times on a team are scored, with Coed teams required to include at least one woman's time. Teams can participate in any or all of the Run the 502 races. An award is given to the teams whose members complete the most races in the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
