The Dr. Ed Morgan/Kiwanis Grand Slam 4 Miler Run/Walk is a four mile running and walking event held in Louisville, Kentucky on July 18, 2026. The course passes through Waterfront Park and the event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series. The event includes both in-person and virtual entries.
Race entry items and services include a choice of short sleeve cotton blend shirt, a short sleeve wicking tech shirt, or a women's only wicking tank; a finisher medal; free finisher photos; and a post-race breakfast served at the Humana Cabana inside Louisville Slugger Field. Door prize drawings and a team competition are part of the event. Registrants who raise $150 for Big Brothers Big Sisters or Heuser Hearing & Language Academy have their entry fee waived.
Virtual participants may complete the course from any location and submit results during the specified virtual results window; virtual runners are not eligible for awards. Awards for the in-person event include Louisville Slugger baseball bats for overall winners and souvenir bats for other top finishers, plus Ken Combs Running Store gift certificates for top overall and age-group finishers. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at Ken Combs Running Store. Race day parking is available at Louisville Slugger Field; surrounding lots may charge for parking.
