The 5K course begins on Edwardsville-Galena Road beside the Floyd Central Athletic Complex, ascends a slight hill toward the school, then covers two laps around the campus before returning to the stadium for a finish on the track under the lights. The kids event is an 800 meter run conducted on the stadium track.
