The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and participants who run or walk are required to finish within 60 minutes.
Entry requires a registration fee of $25. All registrants must sign a waiver at registration; participants under 18 need a parent or guardian signature. An award ceremony is held immediately after the final participant finishes, with medals presented to overall male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 12 to 29, 30 to 49, and 50 and over.
The event is presented as part of Newk’s Cares activities and is connected with Newk’s Eatery efforts to support ovarian cancer research and awareness. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
