BE THE LIGHT 5K RUN/WALK for NICU families - Texarkana
The 2nd Annual BE THE LIGHT 5K RUN/WALK is hosted by Fearfully and Wonderfully Made on September 12, 2026, at the CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital campus in Texarkana, Texas (2600 Saint Michael Drive, 75503). The event is held during NICU awareness month to highlight the experiences of neonatal intensive care unit families and the staff who care for critically ill or premature infants.
The program includes a 5K run/walk and a separate lantern and candle release. There is a designated child participation option: children under 12 may walk or run alongside an adult or ride in a stroller pushed by an adult at no cost; a waiver must be completed for each child and these children will not receive an event T-shirt. Strollers are welcome when participants remain mindful of runners. Pets are not welcome.
Several registration options are listed: the primary run/walk has a registration fee of $35, the lantern and candle release is free, the child accompaniment option is free, and an "All Tucked In" support option with no T-shirt or participation medal is available for a fee of $20.
