BE THE LIGHT 5K RUN/WALK for NICU families
The BE THE LIGHT 5K is the second annual event hosted by Fearfully and Wonderfully Made to coincide with NICU awareness month. It takes place on September 12, 2026 at the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System campus, 2600 St. Michael Dr., Texarkana, TX 75503. The program includes a 5-kilometer run/walk, a lantern and candle release, and alternate participation options.
The event lists these options and conditions:
- 5K run/walk with a registration fee of $35.00.
- A separate lantern and candle release with no registration fee.
- A child option for participants under 12 to walk or ride in a stroller at no cost; children do not receive an event T-shirt and a waiver must be completed for each child.
- An "All Tucked In" support option with a $20.00 fee that does not include a T-shirt or participation medal.
Strollers are permitted with attention to other runners. Pets are not permitted. Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes on dates that vary by option; some options close in August or September 2026.
