11th Annual S.O.B. Run
The 11th Annual S.O.B. Run is a 5k running race held in Yorkville, Illinois. The event starts and ends at Southbank Original Barbecue, which is situated along the Fox River in the downtown area. Participants are encouraged to wear Saint Patrick's Day themed clothing for the competition.
Registration is open to individual runners, families, and participants running with dogs. The event features a chip-timed course with live results provided to the runners. Attendees can also access live music throughout the day and a parade scheduled after the race.
The race offers the following distance:
- 5k distance (chip-timed)
Participants who register before March 7th receive a commemorative T-shirt. For those who register after March 8th, a shirt is not guaranteed. Race packets are available for collection at Southbank Original Barbecue on the Friday before the event or at the starting line on the morning of the race.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various age categories. These categories start from age 14 and under and continue in ten-year increments through age 70 and older.
