Event overview
The 10th Annual S.O.B. Run for CASA of Kendall County takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Yorkville, Illinois. The event features a 5K run held at Southbank Original Barbecue, 129 E Hydraulic St., Yorkville, IL 60560. Participants are invited to wear St. Patrick’s Day gear; families and leashed dogs may participate. Live music will run throughout the day and a parade will follow the event. The race is chip timed with live results.
Logistics, awards and beneficiary
The listed entry fee for the S.O.B. RUN 5K is $35; the price increases after March 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM CDT. Packet pickup is available after 3:00 PM on Friday, March 13 at Southbank Original Barbecue, or at the starting area on the morning of the race. T-shirts are guaranteed only to participants who preregister by February 28; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Age-group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in these groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and above. Proceeds will benefit CASA Kendall County, a nonprofit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the juvenile court system.
