Santa Shuffle
The 2026 Santa Shuffle is a one hour loop challenge held at West Park in Joliet on Sunday, December 6. The event uses a 0.75 mile loop that routes around and through the park and includes two uphill climbs on each circuit.
Bibs are chip timed and sensor pads are placed at 0.25 mile intervals so each complete lap is counted and 1/3 and 2/3 laps are recorded on the final loop. Winners are determined by the number of laps completed; overall male and female and masters (age 50+) winners receive prizes, and top finishers in each age group receive awards. In the event of a tie, multiple awards may be given. Age group brackets run from 0-9 through 80+.
Packet pickup for pre-registered runners is at Inwood Athletic Club on Friday, December 4, with race day pickup at Roc City Bar & Grill. A free shuttle will transport participants between Roc City Bar & Grill and West Park; runners are encouraged to use parking near Roc City. Gear check is available in the West Park pavilion, and leftover items can be claimed at Inwood Athletic Club beginning Monday, December 7.
Registration fees vary by date. Organized groups of 15 or more receive a per-runner discount; Inwood Run Club rates are available. Virtual runners must pick up packets in person and remain eligible for run3 swag. Pets and strollers are not permitted on the course. A post-race party is hosted at Roc City Bar & Grill. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
