Event Overview
The Run Rockaway Beach Half Marathon and 5K is a running event taking place in Far Rockaway, New York. Both races take place on the boardwalk, with the start and finish lines located at Beach 94th Street. The event serves as a tune-up race for participants.
Distances and Course Routes
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 3.1 miles (5K)
The 13.1 mile course consists of two loops. Runners head west from Beach 94th Street to a U-turn at Beach 124th Street. They then travel east to a U-turn at Beach 54th Street before returning west to the Beach 94th Street area to repeat the circuit.
The 3.1 mile course is an out-and-back route. Runners start at Beach 94th Street, travel west to Beach 124th Street, and make a U-turn to return to the finish line at 94th Street.
Participant Support and Amenities
The race provides official T-shirts and medals for participants. Water and Gatorade are provided at multiple locations throughout the course.
