RUN ROCKAWAY BEACH FIRECRACKER HALF MARATHON & 5K
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Far Rockaway, NY (zip 11693). It includes two race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
Entry fees listed on the event page are $69.90 (includes $4.90 fee) for the half marathon and $48.70 (includes $3.70 fee) for the 5K. Prices increase after March 12, 2026 at 5:00pm EDT. Additional race information is available from the organizing club website rockawaytc.org.
Course and logistics
Both races start and finish on Beach 94th Street on the boardwalk. The boardwalk course is flat with no hills and provides ocean views along the route. The half marathon is two loops: from Beach 94th west to Beach 124th, U-turn east to 54th Street, then return to Beach 94th and repeat. The 5K is an out-and-back from Beach 94th west to Beach 124th and back to 94th. There are at least four water stops on each loop of the half marathon. Public parking is available in a lot on Beach 94th. The event offers day-of-race registration, and participants receive a T-shirt, medal, and snacks.
