Event Overview
The Rockaway Beach Firecracker Half Marathon & 5K takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event offers two distances: a half marathon and a 5K.
Course Details
Both races start and finish on the boardwalk at Beach 94th Street in Far Rockaway, New York. The boardwalk course has no hills and provides views of the ocean.
The half marathon consists of two loops. The route goes west from Beach 94th Street, turns around at Beach 124th Street, goes east to 54th Street, turns around again, and returns to Beach 94th Street. This loop is run twice.
The 5K is an out-and-back course. It starts on Beach 94th Street, goes west to Beach 124th Street, turns around, and returns to finish on Beach 94th Street.
Event Information
Day-of-race registration is available. Public parking is located in a lot on Beach 94th Street. For the half marathon, there are at least four water stops on each of its two loops.
